Breakfast Table Candle Garden

October 27, 2009: Sweet Gum

I planted this sweet gum because of the shape of the leaves. Had no idea it would look like a flame in the fall. When I walked out in the backyard to take this shot, the air was full of the scent of autumn leaves. Perfect...

The Invisible Woman

Marnie from write.click.scrapbook. suggested doing a lo or a mini book about oneself. The photo was painful enough. Self disclosure, I think not. Not today, anyway.

Haywagon at Promise Land

I used a Virtual Photographer filter called "bygone era" on this, then added a vignette.

October 24, 2009: Acme Twofer

Wonder what they thought about the crazy lady taking photos in the produce section...

Oak Leaf

Found this at the Apple Butter Festival. Don't know what I'm going to do with it. Note to self: I don't have to buy everything I like.

Fuji Apple Chicken Salad at Panera

Mmmm - look at all the goodies in this salad: pecans, dried apples (crisp and light), chickens, tomatoes and goat cheese. And a crunchy whole grain baugette on the side. And my Honey is sitting right next to me watching engineering YouTube videos and looking cute. Life is good. :)

October 20, 2009: Tuna Wrap and Sudoku

Dinner between Total Body Toning and class at Summa Wellness Center.

Photowalk Today

Took my own personal photowalk today, along the Cuyahoga river in Cuyahoga Falls. Overcast and cool, great day for a walk. Shot just north of Falls River Square, then went south looking for Gorge Park. The road was blocked with construction just before High Bridge Glen, a brand new park dedicated in 2009 for Year of the River. The Falls built a board walk along the gorge and resurfaced an old bridge into a pedestrian walkway - perfect for shooting the river.

Point & Shoot Night at Panera

Looking at new technology YouTube videos.

October 13, 2009: Fairytale Village

It's actually Stow's Safety Town, next to the firestation on Fishcreek Road. So cute, but hardly anyone uses it. Probably playing with the boxes the building material came in.

OctoberFest at the Barn

Shelly brought in a bunch of cute critters - two donkeys for cart rides, two ornery pygmy goats, some red chickens, and three bunnies, including lop-eared Caramel. What a sweet face!

Theme for This Trip: I Ate a Bit Too Much

Tonight it was scallops and dark chocolate mousse at the Bourbon House. Excellent!

Thought this was interesting - a decade ago, this alcove would've been crowded with folks calling the home office. Now, one unused phone remains. No more germ phones and no more being tethered to the wall.

High Humidity

Looked out the window this morning and thought it was raining - Nope, just condensation streaming down the outside of the window. You could mildew in a minute down here. Maybe that's why they drink so much.

N. Diamond St., New Orleans

View toward our hotel on N. Diamond St. The brown brick building had a bunch of tiny balconies stuffed with oversized pots and sculptures. Interesting. Few people were out because it was HOT - 90 degrees - and very humid.

We had dinner at Mulates and ate a bit too much.

October 5, 2009: Noise

When life (or your little p&s) hands you lemons, make lemonade! Taken at the Summa Wellness Center Pond.

Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar?

Snappy looking little guy. Glad I didn't touch him though - they're said to sting and leave itchy welts.
