Monday Evening: Firepond

The firepond at Promise Land. Used a Photoshop filter called "fresco" on this.

Larry's feeling better, but still far too thin.

Evening at Promise Land

Spent a fun Monday afternoon at the Drs, finding out that I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. But Larry needed his inhalers, so it was off to the barn. He is doing lots better, the coughing is gone, and he's feeling feisty.

This picture shows the warm, inviting light streaming from the barn door. I was happy, taking photos as darkness fell, knowing Larry was safe for now.

Funny how little things can change your mood completely.

July 2010: Pano Project

I wanted to do a picture of the day project for July, since photography has taken a back seat to pretty much everything else lately. Since I haven't worked much with panoramas, that seemed to be a good subject. This one is seven shots, exposure corrected, converted from raw to jpeg, then to a pano, and color corrected again. Location is the hunt field at Promise Land, at sunset - after a really nice ride on a cool, summer evening. July 1, 2010.

Flying

Photos from a Bud Roberts jumping clinic at my barn. As fun to watch as it was to shoot. The girls were totally intent, and Bud is an amazing instructor.

This is my favorite shot from the afternoon.

Or is it this one? His name is Julius and he's quite the trooper.
