These were taken at the Geauga County Fair, around the Metroparks cabin. The cabin is landscaped with native plants to attract beneficial insects. Did not see a single butterfly, though.
Here's a grasshopper hiding in a flower head. Not a great shot, but he stayed there long enough for me to fumble around with the camera.
A bright red dragonfly behind the cabin. Dragonflies hold their wings flat, damselflies hold them upright - one more thing learned from the Bug Project.
Butterfly? Looks too fuzzy, however, don't moths have feathery antennae?
Smooth antennae. Hmmm.
