On top of my kitchen cabinet: An ancient wicker basket that belonged to my Grandmother Wilk; A blue pot made by American Indians somewhere along the Natchez Trace, purchased while my folks were living in Mississippi; A replica of a large ceramic horse, found in China and on display at the Field Museum in Chicago.
